Mick O'Brien is one of our best-loved uilleann pipers, performing regularly as a solo artist and with many ensembles and orchestras worldwide. His first solo album 'The May Morning Dew' (1996) was received with great critical acclaim. Caoimhín has performed on some of the most beautiful stages in the world, including the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and the Carnegie Hall. With many recordings, ranging from quite traditional to fairly out there, he continues to explore the region where traditional music begins to disintegrate. Caoimhín performs as a solo artist, yet is also widely known through his collaborative work, including groups The Gloaming and This is How we Fly.

 

Mick and Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh have worked for many years creating a special fiddle and piping duet with their first album “Kitty lie Over” regarded as a classic.
